Mr. Fatos Krasniqi was appointed Chief Executive Officer of PriBank in December 2021. With over 21 years of banking experience and a diverse professional background, he brings proven leadership and deep expertise in business development, project management, branch operations, and people & resources management.
Before entering the banking sector, Mr. Krasniqi successfully managed a private business for nine years and later served as Chief of Logistics at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for nearly five years, further broadening his international and organizational experience.
At Raiffeisen Bank, where he served for 14 years, Mr. Krasniqi held several key leadership roles, including Regional Manager of Prishtina, Regional Manager of Prizren, Manager of SME Loans for the Prishtina Region, and later, Head of the SME and Head of Micro Business Departments at the Head Office. These roles enabled him to gain extensive expertise in both strategic policy development and operational execution.
From 2018 to 2020, Mr. Krasniqi served as CEO of Banka Ekonomike, where he delivered outstanding results, including significant growth in deposits, lending, and net profit. He also strengthened the bank’s portfolio quality, restructured its business divisions, launched new units (Premium Banking and Leasing), streamlined internal processes, and enhanced the institution’s market reputation.
Mr. Krasniqi studied Electronic Engineering and Economics. Mr. Krasniqi holds a Master’s Degree in Management and Finance, and is currently completing his Doctoral Dissertation at the University of “St. Kliment Ohridski” in Bitola, North Macedonia. He has participated in more than 80 professional trainings, conferences, and exchange of experience across Europe, gaining valuable insights from leading international banking institutions.
With over 35 years of professional experience across private enterprises, international organizations, and both local and international banks, Mr. Krasniqi combines strategic vision with operational excellence, making him a highly accomplished leader in the banking sector.
